Have a great, safe, Trick or Treat Westgate!

Remember to keep the doors you cannot see while passing out candy closed and locked just in case someone wants to take advantage of the festivities.

Please note, I did see Chuckie in a black and white striped jump suit and clear rain poncho at Fremont and Westgate less than 5 minutes ago.

The Chuckie sighting makes me want to go back in the house and shut my door

My hubby just called and said cars are stopping in the middle of the streets to let kids out. Be careful out there. I am handing out candy at Powell and Wicklow.

This one just seems bonkers. I wish there was more on the motive.

It looks like the murderer doesn't even live on the west side

Never had a package stolen the entire time we’ve lived here, but the reach extender that I ordered to hand out Halloween candy got stolen today. Corner of S. Roys and W. Broad... the guy went south on Roys from our house. You can’t see his face at all because of the umbrella. If anyone finds either of the reach extenders discarded somewhere, please let me know... I doubt he’s going to want them once he opens the package. ... See MoreSee Less

I stopped the video has he came up on the porch and the umbrella was behind him for a split second. You might be able to stop and pull up a closer pic of their face.

Hey neighbors! With the grand jury making an announcement today in the Breonna Taylor case, please remember that these decisions certainly have the potential for a ripple effect in communities across the country... especially larger cities. Today/this week is an important reminder to be aware of your surroundings and remain safe.

My friends just found him and are taking him home safe! He said someone told him to get on a bus to the bottoms with them, stole his phone and said he wasn’t allowed to call our mom. I’m not sure about the whole story nor do we know the guy but Justin is safe!!!! Thank you all SO VERY MUCH for every share, message, comment, etc. So thankful we found him! ♥️♥️♥️

*UPDATE* 9/23 @ 3:30pm— My mom found a homeless guy with Justin’s jacket on. The guy said Justin is lost and doesn’t know how to get home but gave him his jacket because he was cold. He is somewhere in Franklinton, down by Stevens Ave & West Broad st as of last night. He doesn’t have a jacket on, we’re not sure what color shirt he is wearing. He has a tattoo on his left forearm, blue jeans and black shoes!!! If anyone is down that way and sees him please send me a message!

*EDIT* 9/23 @ 9:30am — Spoke with the detective and he said there is nothing he can do from here since Justin is legally an adult. It doesn’t matter if he has the mentality of a 12 year old or not- he is still an adult. I see every single share and comment you guys give us and we appreciate it more than you can imagine. Please keep sharing and searching for him, and updating us on last seen locations!! Wherever he is, we don’t think he’s staying there willingly. I feel like we are running out of options

Hi Ohio friends!
***My brother Justin is currently missing***
He was last seen the morning of September 21st around our neighborhood in Lincoln Village. He is developmentally delayed and would befriend just about anyone which is super scary in today’s world because he could be with anyone right now. His phone is currently off so the police cannot ping his location and he has no way of contacting us if he is in danger. He has never been gone this long, especially without checking in or calling us.
He was last seen wearing a black Ohio State jacket with red trim, blue jeans and black Nike’s. He is a tall, slim guy with a tattoo on the inside of his left forearm.
If you’ve seen him or heard anything about his whereabouts please message me or contact the Franklin County police department!!

Please do NOT call my mother, Tammy. She is already under enough stress and wants to keep her phone open for him and the detective to contact her!! Thanks for your understanding!

It was a chilly day, but so glad to meet so many Westgaters, new and old! I’ve noticed that we’ve gotten lots of new neighbors peppered throughout the ‘Gate, so if you see an unfamiliar face on your walks or while working in your yards, give a wave and introduce yourselves. Let’s stay that friendly neighborhood that surprises people on the west side. 💗💕
